FAQ
1
Why Cleat Shield?
In addition to waterproofing, Cleat Shield's formula of ingredients helps protect your expensive cleats from scuffs, scrapes, stains, and dirt; protects your colorful cleats from the fading rays of the sun with two UV filters; softens synthetic or leather materials.
2
What material does it work with?
Cleat Shield is developed and tested for use on the modern, colorful, synthetic cleats most athletes wear today, whether playing soccer, rugby, football, lacrosse or other sports played on turf or grass. However, we've recently tested it on leather and other synthetic materials and it seems to work great on them all, except suede, velvet, and material with a nap. The wax in Cleat Shield flattens the nap on those materials.
3
What should I use to clean my shoes before applying Cleat Shield?
Any mild soap and water should suffice. However, we are currently developing a cleaner designed to go perfectly with Cleat Shield. Our early testing shows fabulous results with the product's advanced ingredients. Stay tuned for the release of our cleaner later this year!

Returns
& Refunds
All returns are handled by Amazon, but it’s a simple process that works really well. To return an order do this:
-
Log into your Amazon account.
-
In the upper right corner of the screen click on “Returns and Orders”.
-
Your order will be listed on or near the top of the page. In the box that includes your ordered item, click on “Return or replace items” on the right of the box.
-
On the page that opens you will see only your order and instructions for how to return your item to Amazon. It will include a question about why you are returning the item. It may ask you one or two other questions, then it will allow you to print a shipping label.
-
Package the item you’re returning in an appropriate container, tape the Amazon label you printed to the package, and drop it off at any UPS facility for shipping.

Does Cleat Shield go on hot dogs?
Our taste testers tell us mustard and ketchup go much better with both hot dogs and hamburgers. Cleat Shield’s ingredients are non-toxic at the levels found in the formula, but if ingested we recommend seeking medical advice.
